Appeal following bus crash outside Lewes prison
POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a bus was involved in a collision with three other vehicles on Friday (1 March) outside Lewes Prison.
The crash happened just after 10am, causing the road to be closed for two hours.
The male driver of a Nissan Almera had to be cut free from his vehicle by the fire service and was taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital to be treated for his injuries.
The female driver of a Fiat Multipla and the male driver of a Brighton & Hove taxi were uninjured.

The bus driver suffered a minor injury. A police spokesperson said: "We would like to thank the public for their patience whilst the road was closed. If anyone witnessed what happened but has not yet come forward then we would ask them to call police on 101, quoting serial number 0414 of 1 March."
