Ashurst Wood pupils get their kicks from karate teachers' workshop
Children at Ashurst Wood Primary School got tips on how to become the next Bruce Lee.
The youngsters were treated to a martial arts class as part of their recent topic on dragons and lanterns.

KARATE KIDS: Pupils at Ashurst Wood Primary School learnt martial arts skills during a recent topic
After a demonstration by instructors from Sama Karate, the Key Stage 1 pupils all had a go at punching and kicking bags, and even breaking wood.
Teacher Angela Sanders said: "We are so lucky that we have so many great people who want to give up their time to demonstrate their specific skills to the children. This was a really fantastic start to the topic and the children are enthused to learn more."
