Crawley Town agree deal to end striker John Akinde's contract
AFTER he turned down several loan moves, Crawley Town have finally agreed a deal to pay up the remaining months on John Akinde's deal.
The 23-year-old striker has been restricted to a handful of substitute appearances for the Reds this campaign, with his only goal coming in the Sussex Senior Cup.
He scored once in the league for the Reds, in a 2-1 defeat at Shrewsbury Town on February 27, 2012.
Crawley boss Richie Barker has often expressed his distress at Akinde's unwillingness to go out on loan despite receiving several offers.
