Cricket: Crowborough ease to superb 10-wicket win over Robertsbridge
HIGH-flying Robertsbridge were destroyed by Crowborough on Saturday, as they bounced back from defeat the previous week.
Considering the recent inclement weather, the pitch looked good, but it was likely to play a little slow. Stand-in skipper Will Rogers inserted Robertsbridge and asked his bowlers to take early wickets.

ANOTHER ONE BITES THE DUST: With John Foskett and Ian Millman bowling, Crowborough ripped through Robertsbridge
Having chased down 250 the week before, the Robertsbridge batsmen came out confidently, playing their shots against the new ball attack of Ian Millman and John Foskett.
Despite this confident start, Millman and Foskett soon found their rhythm and ripped through the Robertsbridge top order.

Millman (3-24) developed some big out-swing and had the Robertsbridge top three all caught behind the wicket.
Coming up the hill, Foskett (2-21) was nipping the ball both ways and continued to wreak havoc through the middle order.
Robertsbridge soon found themselves at 19-5 and in real trouble.
Rogers then brought on spin twins Mickey Parker and Greg Follows. Both found their line and length and they continued to trouble the Robertsbridge batsmen. Parker (2-7) and Follows (2-9) spun the ball nicely and tore through the lower order of Robertsbridge.
With good field support, Robertsbridge were scuttled for 65.
In a few overs before tea, Rogers and Ian Easton played out the Robertsbridge bowling with little fuss to take Crowborough to 20-0 at tea, after which Rogers and Easton opened up and started playing some nice shots, while taking their task seriously and not wanting to give Robertsbridge a sniff of a point.
Eventually, Rogers (33no) and Easton (22no) started to find the boundary and took Crowborough home to a fantastic ten-wicket victory.
The win pushes Crowborough up to fourth and within sight of the top two.
Tomorrow (Saturday), Crowborough face basement side Chiddingly.
