We compare prices at Crawley petrol stations
CRAWLEY motorists are having to dig deeper than ever before to fill up their cars.
At one petrol station in the town the cost of a litre of diesel has even passed the £1.50 mark.

Last Wednesday (March 14) 300 angry car owners, cabbies and business bosses descended on Downing Street for the first National Fair Fuel Day.
As they did, we took a tour of Crawley to compare prices at the town's petrol stations.

We found the cheapest litre of unleaded petrol cost 138.8p, with the cheapest litre of diesel coming in at 144.8p.
The priciest litre of unleaded cost 143.9p, while the most expensive litre of diesel was an eye-watering 152.9p.
Pressure groups are lobbying chancellor George Osborne to reduce the cost of fuel in the Government's budget this month.
So far a national petition calling for the cut has been signed by about 400 residents of Crawley.
Manager of taxi firm Metro Cars Ralph Khan said petrol prices were "terrible at the moment".
He added: "We can't put the prices up for the customers as they might stop using us.
"One of our saloon cars costs £80 or £90 to fill up at the moment. It is really such a lot of money. It's really affecting our business.
"The drivers are feeling it, a lot of them think they would be better off not doing this job any more.
"This would be time to bring down VAT again for a relief."
Matthew Vincent, 36, from Furnace Green, runs a vehicle recovery business, Alpha Recovery. He believes if fuel prices continue to rise it could force him to stop trading.
He said: "My profit margins are getting smaller and smaller all the time. The price of fuel is having a dire impact on my business.
"It's going to come to a point where it's better to claim dole money than work.
"It costs £4,500 a year to insure a vehicle, you spend £1,500 on tyres every year and there are the costs of road tax. It's very difficult to make a decent profit."
