Jones delighted as Oxford University captain signs on at Saint Hill
ADAM Jordan has become East Grinstead Hockey Club's first summer signing.
Jordan has signed from Oxford University, having been captain of the hockey team there last season.
He had previously joined pre-season training with the Gladiators two seasons ago, prior to going off to University to study Geography.
But East Grinstead's first team manager, Matt Jones, said the club was pleased to welcome him on board now.

He said: "His signing represents our commitment to evolving and developing the squad.
"He is a young, talented player with some pedigree. He trained with us a couple of seasons ago and we are very much looking forward to him joining the squad and adding something new to our attack."
Jones added that Jordan would have no problem fitting in with the squad, as he said his character on and off the pitch was in line with the ethos of the club.
He said: "He is the kind of player that we are looking to develop and try to attract to our club."
Meanwhile, Jones said that Jordan would hopefully be the first of several new additions to the squad as they prepare for the English Hockey League campaign.
Jones said: "The club is very excited about what we are setting out to achieve this season. We are in discussions with other players and hopefully we will have a few more announcements soon."
