Moving on: Mother Suzy Miller
The 44-year-old mother-of-three said the Starting Over Show, which takes place in Brighton next month, is designed to help the thousands of sufferers start over.
"I had been through my own break-up about six years ago and like most people, it feels like the worst thing that has ever happened," she said.
"But it turned out to be catalyst for change because I have been able to get the inspiration for support.
"By getting your self-esteem back up, you can be in a position to rediscover the joy of life. Even when it's really horrible, you know it can be all right a few years down the line and you can end up with a better relationship with that person than you had."
Miss Miller said she first heard about divorce fairs in Europe and wanted to take her own experiences to set up a similar event in the UK.
"I wanted to look at what I could do with my life," she added. "It's hard to be reminded how awful and how hard it was.
"But what I realised after my experience is that there are thousands and thousands of people in the same position and we all feel so alone."
Exhibitors are now being finalised for the show, which takes place at the Old Ship Hotel on March 15.
Single tickets are priced £4.99 or £7.99 for two.
