PARENTS, pupils and teachers were treated to an end-of-term concert to mark the opening of a new outdoor stage.

Each year group at Ashurst Wood Primary School took turns to impress with their poems, songs and recorder performances at the ceremony on June 1.

Head teacher Lisa Hobby said: "This was a truly marvellous effort made by the pupils. So much hard work went in to making this a stunning opening for our outside stage.

"I can't thank the PTFA and parents enough who made this all possible and helped to build this new stage, the children are really excited about this and have already planned a rota for next term."
