HUNDREDS of people from East Grinstead took advantage of free advice about their health and wellbeing on Saturday.
More than 600 people visited the East Grinstead Life Show at the Jubilee Centre in Charlwoods Road.
Residents were able to get free health checks and enjoy entertainment from bands, school troupes and choirs from the area.
Organiser Loral Bennett, a volunteer co-ordinator for the Council of Voluntary Services (CVS), said: "The day went really well. I think everyone really enjoyed the day and took advantage of the free advice."
There were 48 stands from local charities, services and organisations, including Mid Sussex District Council and Moatfield Surgery, which gave people the chance to chat to nurses about health problems and have their blood pressure checked.
Dance groups, including Kicks dance school, based at Fairlawn Drive, and an orchestra from Sackville School, kept visitors entertained throughout the day.
"All in all, it was a brilliant day and it came together very well," said Mrs Bennett. "We would like to hold it again in the future if possible."
