A TREBLE is still within Crawley Wasps U16s' grasp after they made it through to the final of the Sussex County Women & Girls' League Cup.

In the semi-final, the Wasps were made to work hard by a Predators team who started the brighter of the two teams. They shocked their hosts by taking the lead when the Wasps defence failed to deal with Predators' nippy right winger who crossed the ball for an easy tap in.

The same player then set up another goal to put Predators 2-0 up with only 15 minutes gone.

Wasps battled back but they found the Predators keeper in fine form.

The continued Wasps pressure finally told when Louise Brooks slotted home and Siobhan Miller grabbed the equaliser.

Rebekah Dunt scored with a great strike from a tight angle to make the half-time score 3-2.

Five minutes into the second half, Dunt scored again following terrific build-up play.

The Predators keeper was suddenly very busy and she was powerless to prevent Dunt grabbing her hat-trick with a tremendous volley from the edge of the penalty area.

Predators grabbed a goal back, but player of the match Maddy Burnage ran through the Predators defence to finish the scoring at 6-3 to Wasps.
