Soap stars get musical for Chicago
S OAP fans with a soft spot for musicals will be in their element when the UK tour of Chicago stops off in Crawley later this year.
The award-winning show features stars who have appeared in EastEnders, Coronation Street, Hollyoaks and Brookside.
Ali Bastian, who played Becca Dean in Hollyoaks, plays Roxie Hart.
Stefan Booth, who played Greg Jessop in EastEnders, takes the role of Billy Flynn.

And Bernie Nolan, who was Diane Murray in Brookside, takes on the part of Mama Morton.
Chicago opened in 1997 at the Adelphi Theatre in London's West End to rave reviews.
The West End production, now at the Garrick Theatre, is into its 15th year and the musical is also currently playing in New York and Spain.
Packed with show-stopping singing and dancing – not to mention some spectacular costumes – it has a history of starring well-known names.
Various productions having featured the likes of Denise Van Outen, Marti Pellow and Brooke Shields. It visits The Hawth from October 29 to November 3 for eight performances, following a sell-out visit to the town two years ago.
Performances from the Monday to Thursday start at 7.30pm, while there will be two shows on the Friday and Saturday, at 5pm and 8.30pm.
