THAT'S MAGIC: Thomas Herron shows off some of his tricks
The St Mary's School pupil amazed everyone when he took to the stage and performed magic tricks to nearly 10 million people to take part in ITV's Britain's Got Talent.
The budding magician stunned judges Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden and Piers Morgan when he hopped onto the stage in January to try to win the chance to perform for Her Majesty the Queen at the Royal Variety Show.
However Thomas then made a disappearing act himself, as he was told he would not get into the live semi-finals.
His proud mum, Diane said: "We told him not to expect too much because he had done so well the first time.
"When he first came out to me after being told, he just looked and said 'I didn't get through', then the tears came.
"It broke my heart because he thought he had let me down."
However, Thomas has not been deterred from performing, and is adamant he wants to try again next year.
Diane said: "It wasn't long after the tears that he said he wants to try again next year.
"He is still doing magic, and he loved every second of it. Last year's winner George Sampson went out at exactly the same stage the year before, and then won it the next year.
"I am happy for him to do it, but his dad said he doesn't know if he can stand the pressure. He said he knows Thomas will be fine, but he can't take the stress himself!"
