Man dies after hanging himself from bridge

A MAN found dead this morning is believed to have hanged himself from a bridge.

A stunned passer-by discovered the body near Bewbush Leisure Centre at around 8am.

Builder Lee Turnbull arrived on the scene shortly after the horrific incident.

He said: "A man walking his dog found the body and thought it was a manikin. It doesn't look like a real body.

"I walked over to the footbridge and saw the head 10 feet away from the body.

"The deceased man's partner was screaming and she dropped to her knees. She ran off saying that she had left her two kids.

"I don't know how long the body had been there for. It was very white.

"He killed himself with a car tow rope."

Police sealed off the area around the leisure centre after the body was found on a bridge over the A2220 Horsham Road.
