Tuesday, January 27, 2009, 17:00

A STUNNING teen has made a glittering start to her modelling career - six months after being discovered by the Crawley News.

Gorgeous Shannon Duggan, 18, was crowned Miss Crawley in a News competition last August.

The Ifield babe has appeared in lads magazine Zoo after winning a modelling contract as part of her prize.

Her portfolio is also being reviewed by Playboy.

Shannon said: "I never had the confidence to do this before winning Miss Crawley.

"My boyfriend put me in for the competition while I was on holiday."

Speaking about her first photoshoot with Zoo, Shannon said: "It was really nerve racking.

"There were lots of other girls there but they were really nice and gave me lots of advice.

"They told me I have to get my name out there and do as many things as possible to get noticed."

Shannon, of Rusper Road, told the News she is relaxed about her future plans.

She said: "I'm just going with the flow whatever life throws at me."

Shannon's contract is with True Model Media, a company owned by model Racheal Baughan.

Racheal, from Worth, said: "Shannon has definitely come very far since last year and I see great prospects for her modelling career.

"Our clients have expressed a lot of interest in Shannon and Playboy are currently reviewing her photos.

"In a competitive industry I believe that Shannon has the drive to succeed.

"Modelling is about so much more than being a pretty face. Shannon has the whole package which is why we see a bright future ahead for her."
