Crawley drug dealer dodges jail term

A DRUG dealer who supplied super-strength "skunk" cannabis to friends has walked free from court.

Steven Hills, 19, was stopped by police for using his mobile phone while driving in Southgate on April 7.

Officers seized 17.9gms of the class C drug found in his car, Lewes Crown Court heard.

Police also seized £1,956 in cash which Hills was ordered to hand over as proceeds of crime.

Hills, of Arden Road, Furnace Green, pleaded guilty to possession of a class C drug with intent to supply.

Judge Paul Tain gave him an eight-month jail sentence suspended for 18 months.

Hills was ordered to complete 180 hours of unpaid work and pay £350 court costs at last Wednesday's hearing.
