Police step up hunt for burglary suspects

FIVE e-fit images have been released of the suspected "violent" burglars who have terrorised the town.

Around 30 burglaries were committed in Langley Green, West Green, and Three Bridges from November 22 to December 15.

Now police are offering a £500 reward and have released images of five people who they believe may be responsible.

Detective Inspector Stuart Hale said: "I would appeal to anyone who has any information to contact Sussex Police.

"These are a deplorable series of offences where elderly residents of the community have been the victims.

"My team and I are dedicated to capturing the offenders and need the public's help to do so."

All of the offences were carried out in the early evening.

Police have said the majority of the victims were elderly and the burglars used violence on a few occasions, causing minor injuries.

One of the victims targeted was a 101-year-old woman.

The £500 reward is for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible.
