Oakwood plunder six

GERALD Manderville hit a first half hat-trick as 10 man Oakwood thrashed Rye United 6-2.

The victory was all the more remarkable as the Oaks played more than 65 minutes with just 10 men after Ben Davies was sent off.

At that point Oaks were winning 2-1 but the dismissal did not seem to cause them too many more problems as Manderville competed his hat-trick with a spectacular 35-yard shot to give his side a 3-1 lead at the break.

After the interval Tom Tolfrey scored twice before substitute Keiran Purkiss completed the rout late on.

In injury time Rye pulled back a consolation goal.

In division three Ifield Edwards enjoyed a 2-1 away victory over Dorking Wanderers. Clinton Moore scored both goals.
