Harrington surges into medley final

After his elimination in the semi-final of the 100m backstroke on Wednesday, the 17-year-old Crawley swimmer underlined his ability in the medley by going 11th quickest of 50 starters in the heats (2 minutes 6.62 seconds) and then finishing second in his semi-final, posting the fifth quickest time overall (2:04.32).
Harrington, from Pound Hill, will be the only British swimmer in the 200 IM final tonight, and goes again in the 400m IM heats on Sunday.
