Williamson sisters shine for Crawley

CRAWLEY Swimming Club encountered heavy water when they competed against some of the best southern teams, in their first National Swimming League gala of the season.

The locals were pushed to the limit finishing fourth in the six club high class event, well adrift of the winning Bracknell squad.

The talented Williamson sisters have a great future at breaststroke, both swimming superbly, as Federica won over 100 metres, with the younger Veronica touching first at 50 metres distance.

Tahitha Read-Cayton is a welcome new addition to the squad, racing to victory in freestyle and snatching second place at backstroke.

Sophie Brooks is ever reliable in top company, on this occasion winning the senior freestyle, and fighting hard for second place at butterfly.

Three other Crawley swimmers who went well for a runners up-up spot were Larissa Partridge and Callum Hillicks at butterfly and Zara Williams in freestyle.
