Worth Parish Council discussed buying eight extra bins at its council meeting last Mondayto place around Copthorne and Crawley Down.
The bins cost around £120 each and around £130 annually to empty.
Parish councillor Mike Livesey suggested the council's budget would not cover eight bins and they should begin by buying two.
However, councillor Phillip Coote said: "It isn't very pleasant to be walking miles with a little bag of dog poo. I think we should look seriously at where there is a need for them and where people are walking their dogs."
Councillor Anthony Smith agreed with Mr Coote and suggested two bins were bought for each village, which the council agreed.
Councillor Gordon Phillips added: "I hope they will be placed where they are used."
