Actors perform for village guides

A GROUP of actors took to the stage to raise money for village Guides.

The Copthorne Players put on their Musical Extravaganza last weekend as a money raiser for the Copthorne Guide Units.

The group performed songs from musicals before launching into their main entertainment for the evening, Chinese melodrama, The Lost Pendant.

The audience had a beef dish cooked for them by Rainbow Guider, Lynne Witheyman.

Sandra Luttman, from the Copthorne Players, said more than £600 was raised for the guides from the evening.

Copthorne Players' next performance will be Bugsy Malone at Copthorne Village Hall, from April 15-17.
