Alexander House, Turners Hill-food
The Alexander House Hotel in Turners Hill launched its new restaurant, AG's, last month.
The new head chef, Paul Nixon, has 16 years experience and has worked previously at the Savoy Grill.
The grill room offers diners the finest in locally sourced food cooked in a traditional grill style.
The starter menu includes crab and dill cakes with lemon beurre blanc and traditional Scottish smoked salmon (pictured).
Main meals include a fillet, sirloin and t-bone steak from the grill and the restaurant's specialities braised shoulder of lamb or the roast loin of local venison.
Hotel manager Jonathan Owen said: "At Alexander House Hotel we decided to offer a truly unique dining experience for Sussex. After the compressive refurbishment in January, AG's Grill Room opened serving locally sourced produce.
"Our meat comes from the Redland Farm in Sussex right on our doorstep. The restaurant has been a tremendous success with both guests and the local residents. Our most popular dishes are our potted shrimp starter and our 12oz t-bone steak."
