High Street ban for ASBO girl

A 15-YEAR-OLD girl has been banned from Heathfield High Street following a tirade of abuse in the town.

Zoe Barton appeared at Eastbourne Youth Court last week, where Wealden police officers sought an Anti-Social Behaviour Order.

Magistrates heard from Sussex Police solicitors about Barton's behaviour over the past 18 months.

Despite many interventions by various agencies, there was no improvement in her behaviour, they said. This included assaults, public order offences and general harassment of the public over 18 months.
