Driver named following fatal Crowborough collision

The driver killed in Saturday's A26 crash in Crowborough has been named as Ronald Page, aged 79, of Parklands, Maresfield.

His Vauxhall Corsa was in collision with a Volkswagon Beetle on Uckfield Road at 10am.

The driver of the Beetle, a 41-year-old Crowborough woman, received serious injuries and is currently being treated at the Royal London Hospital.

Her seven-year-old daughter also received serious injuries and is currently being treated at the Royal Sussex County Hospital. Their injuries are not considered to be life threatening.

Police would like to hear from anyone who saw the crash, and in particular would like to hear from the driver of a black VW Golf who is it believed may have seen what happened.
