A classic event for drivers

UCKFIELD Lions held its classic car run on Sunday, with 34 motors revving through the Sussex countryside.

Drivers and passengers met at the Halfway House on Rose Hill and set off just after 10am for a 50-mile round trip.

Nine more vehicles joined them on their return for a static display and more than 150 people enjoyed lunch.

Organiser and Lions member Chris Macve said: "The event was a huge success. A combination of the weather, the venue and the people has enabled us to raise around £1,300 for our work in the community."
